1. Here we can see the awful tape that has turned yellow staining the pages of the bible.

2. The tape was carefully removed. The yellow stain was cleaned out of the paper. The tears had to be mended using very delicate Japanese tissue paper and wheat starch.

3. Here’s a full view of the page that was restored. Here we can see on the right side of the bible where they hid the tool when used in the movie.

4. The bible had to be carefully examined to make sure all the tears had matched up correctly once they were dry.

5. There were a few small tears in the front of the bible on a few of the pages.

6. The tears were mended and strengthened with a very tiny strip of Japanese paper. This will appear as an invisible mend.
